Sideman and Bancroft launches a dedicated Blockchain and Digital Asset Practice Group as requests for legal advice and guidance surrounding crypto assets and blockchain technology continue to surge. Lead by Lyndsey Heaton, Amanda Rinkoff, and Michael Hewitt,  the practice group consists of Sideman partners and associates with several years of crypto-related experience in a variety of areas including , marketing and advertising guidance for NFT projects, IP counseling and registration for brands and artists alike, dispute resolution related to early crypto exchanges, and federal gift and estate tax planning involving crypto-assets.

On creating the practice group, Michael Hewitt states – “The lawyers at Sideman and Bancroft have developed years of experience in the core legal areas that are most impacting our existing and new blockchain clients. With the increased adoption of Web3 and blockchain technologies, and the legal ambiguities surrounding the assets needed to interact with those platforms, as well as the substantial amount of money being invested into blockchain technology, we thought it prudent to establish a formal foothold in this industry to more efficiently assist our clients in addressing the myriad of legal issues   involving Blockchain and Digital Assets.”

We currently provide service for blockchain and digital asset matters in the following areas: Intellectual Property, Business and Commercial Litigation, Marketing and Advertising, Tax Controversy, Estate Planning and Family Law, and Corporate Advice and Counsel.
