Daniel Redman’s practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and taxation. Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, Mr. Redman was of counsel in the family wealth planning group of a well-known San Francisco law firm.
In 2024 and 2025, Mr. Redman was listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch®.
In 2016, the National LGBT Bar Association honored Mr. Redman as one of the “Best LGBT Lawyers under 40″.
In law school, Mr. Redman was an articles editor of the California Law Review.
Professional Involvement
In 2012, Mr. Redman was appointed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to the City’s LGBT Aging Policy Task Force. As chair of the legal committee, he led the effort to draft and pass the “LGBT Long-Term Care Residents’ Bill of Rights,” a first-in-the-nation ordinance to protect LGBT seniors in care facilities. This ordinance became law in 2015, and a similar state-level law was enacted in 2017.
