Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, Daniel Redman served as of counsel in the family wealth planning group at a leading San Francisco law firm. His legal expertise spans estate and trust administration, as well as complex tax planning, helping families secure their financial legacies for future generations.
Recognized for his contributions, Mr. Redman was listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® for both 2024 and 2025. His early recognition in the legal community came in 2016 when the National LGBT Bar Association named him one of the “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40.”
Advocacy Beyond the Courtroom
Beyond his legal work, Mr. Redman is also a tireless advocate for the LGBT community. In 2012, he was appointed to the San Francisco LGBT Aging Policy Task Force, where he chaired the legal committee. Under his leadership, the groundbreaking LGBT Long-Term Care Residents’ Bill of Rights was drafted and passed in 2015, setting a national precedent for protecting LGBT seniors in care facilities. This ordinance inspired a similar state law enacted in 2017.
