Sideman & Bancroft is pleased to announce that Andrea S. Cristiani has joined the firm as an associate in its Business, Intellectual Property and Brand Integrity and Innovation groups. She is based in San Francisco.
Ms. Cristiani focuses her practice on all aspects of brand protection, including trademark counseling, trademark clearance, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. She first joined Sideman & Bancroft in 2020 as a brand protection analyst in the firm’s Intellectual Property group.
“When it comes to complex brand matters, Andrea can do it all, and has already been a valued resource for our firm and our clients,” said Jeffrey Hallam, managing partner of the firm and co-head of the Brand Integrity and Innovation group. “She quickly showed her abilities to us and our clients when she first joined us, and we’re excited to see her grow in this new role.”

Ms. Cristiani earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings School of Law, where she advised early-stage companies on intellectual property and privacy issues as part of the school’s Startup Legal Garage program. She also served as co-editor in chief of the Communications & Entertainment Law Journal (CommEnt) and received CALI Awards in Legal Research Writing and Trademark Law. Ms. Cristiani earned her B.S. in psychology from the University of Arizona.
With her addition, Sideman & Bancroft’s Intellectual Property and Brand Integrity and Innovation practices continues their recent growth. In November 2021, brand protection lawyer Alex Bukac joined the firm as a member of both practices.
