We are pleased to announce that Andre Fontana has joined Sideman & Bancroft in the Brand Integrity and Innovation Group and the Litigation and Appeals Group.
Andre brings extensive experience advising businesses and start-ups across industries such as technology, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, food and beverage, consulting, and finance. He has a proven track record of conducting internal investigations on behalf of corporations and representing corporations, board members, and executives in proceedings before government agencies.
Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, Andre practiced at both a large international law firm and a boutique litigation firm, where he represented public and private companies, founders, executives, and board members in complex, high-stakes litigation. His practice has included trade secret disputes, founder equity disputes, merger disputes, securities class actions, and consumer class actions. He has particular expertise in managing civil disputes involving parallel proceedings and investigations conducted by agencies such as the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Andre is deeply committed to community service. His pro bono work includes overturning a court order on appeal for a survivor of domestic violence and securing a judgment for tenants in a housing dispute. He also volunteers as a coach for the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts mock trial program, where he teaches trial advocacy, and as a judge for the Bay Area Urban Debate League, supporting students from underserved communities in developing critical thinking and advocacy skills.
Outside of work, Andre enjoys performing and recording music, backpacking along California’s coasts and mountains, and capturing moments with friends and family through photography. Andre’s diverse legal background and commitment to community engagement make him a valuable addition to our team.
