Outside of the Box: Perspectives from Life in and out of Private Practice

Mr. Ellis will share practical observations he and other estate planning lawyers have made while in private practice, with financial firms, and at trust companies. Practice pointers come from watching different trust and estate lawyers working with their clients, when sitting on the client’s side of the table. How lawyers
can better serve clients who have teams of other advisors will be discussed. Ideas from trust company lawyers about how to better plan and draft trust provisions will be shared. Finally, there are lessons to be learned from colleagues at financial firms about bringing in new clients.
